Blair Greenan

Head, Ocean Stressors and Arctic Science Section
I am a research scientist at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My recent research projects have focussed on climate change adaptation for coastal infrastructure along Canada's coastlines. I have been working closely with the DFO Small Craft Harbours engineering group to reduce the vulnerability of wharves, breakwaters and other structures.
I manage a research group that focusses on ocean stressors (e.g. climate change, oil spill fate and behaviour) and Arctic science.
I am also the scientific director for Argo Canada (http://www.meds-sdmm.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/isdm-gdsi/argo/index-eng.html).
