Metamorphic petrology, petrochronology, tectonics

Research and/or project statements

I study the evolution of tectonic styles through time and their implication on mineralized systems using metamorphic rocks as witnesses of physicochemical processes. I am particularly interested in the rheological characteristics of the different crustal levels, as well as the production and mobility of mineralizing fluids in the Earth's crust. I involve a multidisciplinary approach integrating, among others, field observations, petrography, mineral chemistry, geochronology, and phase equilibria modeling.
