Alexandre Beaulieu, Ph.D.

Geomatics Specialist

Lead Project Officer of the National Elevation System

Current research and/or projects

I currently work on the National Elevation Project through the Canadian Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation; a branch of Natural Resources Canda's Earth Sciences Sector.  Over the past year, I have been working with the Federal Geospatial Platform secretariat acting as a technical/scientific advisor for the development of the architecture and the scoping of a project charter for a Treasury Board submission.

Research and/or project statements

  • Federal Geospation Platform project
  • National Elevation projet
  • Generalization of vector data for producing smaller scale maps from larger scale data
  • Land cover, circa 2000, vector data project on Geobase
  • Cartonord project, completion of the 1:50 000 mapping of the North of Canada
