La recherche concernant la santé des abeilles domestiques et la pollinisation avec des colonies migratrices de la Colombie-Britannique et de l’Alberta. La fertilité des reines d’abeilles domestiques, le microbiome intestinal et les maladies infectieuses. Les abeilles en tant que bioindicateurs de l’environnement.
Recherche et / ou projets en cours
- Le microbiome et les outils «omiques» pour évaluer la santé des abeilles domestiques. AAC avec la collaboration de Génome Canada.
- Le séquençage par SNG des abeilles et du pollen pour la bio-surveillance des agents pathogènes agricoles et des espèces envahissantes. AAC avec la collaboration de l’ACIA.
- La pollinisation des bleuetiers et la santé des abeilles. Financé par les intervenants.
- La santé et la fertilité des reines d’abeilles domestiques. La production de reines d’abeilles domestiques au Canada.
